Demetree makes strides to support a growing student community near UCF, the largest university by enrollment in the US.
Students need to sleep. Whether it's between class or after a long day, students at UCF may have limited options when it comes to grabbing a nap. Of course there is on campus housing, but what other options are there?
Where can they live, work & play all in one place?
Students seek housing along University Boulevard and other off campus communities nearby, but there isn't really a place where it all comes together. With more than 50 years of history and dedication to the community, Demetree Global has plans in the works to redevelop the historic Collegiate Village retail and student housing area on University Boulevard.
The redevelopment of Collegiate village will be unique because we are not just creating another retail strip center, but an experience. In an area that already serves universities like UCF as well as Full Sail University, Rollins College, Valencia College and others the new development will create a student focused entertainment, retail and residential nexus.
Imagine being able to stop at a pop up shop or a shipping container that's been transformed into an art gallery or cafe. Even find events and shows at the outdoor amphitheater or dine outside on a restaurant patio or balcony.
The redevelopment is slated to create a pedestrian friendly community with outdoor seating, walkways and green spaces. Plans include more than 1000 student beds in residential complexes book-ending a large scale entertainment and retail venue including a grocer, food hall and event districts.
Shoppers and foodies will be able to stroll down a grand paseo and enjoy variety all along the way. There will be a mix of local flavor and national brands that provide the community with unique creative and compelling options.
Partnerships with nearby universities can ensure ever changing opportunities. Art exhibits, film showings, concerts, and even events like Yoga or exercise classes can be experienced.
This new redevelopment promises to provide students with quality and convenient answers to "What should we do after class?" If the answer is to grab a nap or grab a bite to eat, being able to walk to it from campus will be a huge benefit.
